Lost Flower Club

Join Jan from Blue Shed Flowers for a monthly Wednesday evening immersed in seasonal flowers, conversation and hands-on making. Lost Flower Club is a gathering of flower lovers, gardeners, artists and anyone who enjoys working with nature — from garden to hedgerow.

Each session explores what’s in season, drawing inspiration from the cutting garden and surrounding landscape. Jan guides you through growing and arranging sustainably, sharing practical tips on cutting, conditioning and design while encouraging an intuitive, nature-led approach.

Working with a carefully selected mix of seasonal flowers and foliage from the Blue Shed field, Jan demonstrates her loose, natural style before you create your own hand-tie or vase arrangement to take home.

All flowers are provided. We ask that you bring a vase, a pair of secateurs and a box or basket to transport your arrangement safely. The evening also includes cake and a mocktail, making it a thoughtful gift or a relaxed and creative evening to share with friends.

The workshop runs from 6.30pm–9pm and costs £45 per person. Each session can be booked individually and is seasonally themed.
The learning space is shared with Lost in Print.

A bit about Jan

Blue Shed Flowers grew from Jan’s passion for flowers. What began on a small allotment now flourishes across a three-acre cutting garden at Hagley, near Wiveliscombe in Somerset.

Jan grows and designs flowers for all occasions, from weddings and civil partnerships to anniversaries, birthdays and farewells. Inspired by the wild Somerset landscape, she brings her fine art background to every arrangement, with a strong awareness of form, texture and colour.

Blue Shed Flowers is known for its natural, “just gathered from the field” style, often incorporating hedgerow finds and seasonal foliage. Flowers are grown using sustainable, no-dig methods, without pesticides or artificial fertilisers.
