Lost Flower Club with Blue Shed Flowers
Join Jan from Blue Shed Flowers for a monthly
Wednesday evening of flowers, flowery talk and
creativity and a chance to work with beautiful
seasonal flowers and foliage.
Each session will consist of a talk through what’s flowering in the cutting garden and the hedgerow and a look at the range of bulbs, annuals and perennials available at that time of year.
There’ll be tips on cutting, conditioning and designing, as well as how to grow and arrange using sustainable methods. Working with a selection of flowers from the Blue Shed field, Jan will demonstrate her loose, nature-led approach and you’ll create your own hand-tie or
vase arrangement to take home.
All flowers are provided, though we request you bring a pair of secateurs. The evening includes Cake and Mocktail. You may be asked to bring secateurs or a vase for your arrangement. The perfect gift for someone you love, or a fun and creative evening out with friends.
The evening class is £45pp, 6.30 pm - 9 pm, each class can be booked individually. The learning space is shared with Lost in Print.

A bit about Jan
Blue Shed Flowers grew from my passion for flowers. What started on a small allotment, now dominates a three-acre plot at Hagley near Wiveliscombe, in Somerset.
I grow and design flowers for all occasions, from weddings and civil partnerships to anniversary parties, christenings, birthdays, and funerals. It’s a privilege to be invited to help with important events and milestones in people’s lives.
My inspiration is taken from the wild, rural Somerset landscape, and I use my fine art training to bring an awareness of form and colour to inspired bouquets, arrangements and installations for your special events. I love to incorporate hedgerows and garden finds... Blue Shed floral designs are renowned for that 'just gathered from the field' look...
Growing and Learning
I grow flowers using sustainable methods – no pesticides or artificial fertilizers and using the 'no-dig' approach. It's a constant learning process and each year new flowers and foliage get added to the cutting field.
