  • We are a wheelchair-accessible restaurant. A ramp leads up from the car park to the restaurant.

    One of our toilets is specifically provided for people with disability.

    There is a slope from the car park entrance into the building entrance and restaurant space. The restaurant is all one level from the gravel terrace.

    Do we cater for Allergies? - Yes, please inform us of any allergies when booking this will allow us the best chance to manage your booking, so that you and your party are well catered for. We complete our allergy charts in conjunction with HACCP guidelines, please take a look at our menu

  • We enthusiastically welcome dogs outdoors!

    However, we can not permit dogs indoors at The Lost Kitchen, although they are welcome to join you on the terrace, where we have dog bowls and fresh water on tap with plenty of places to sit.

    Given neighbouring pets and livestock as well as free-range children and an open kitchen please keep dogs on leads at all times.

    We ask you to take the waste with you or place it in a nearby bin.

  • Many of our dishes are suitable, labelled ‘GF’, we are happy to ‘take off the bread/pasta’ and replace this with our amazing polenta chips as all dishes are made to order. For pizzas, we just havent found a base good enough-if you have, get in touch! We always make celiac friendly cakes as well as puddings.

    Cancellation Policy
    The relationship with all our customers is very important to us and each circumstance of cancellation in relation to events will be dealt with at the discretion of The Lost Kitchen.


    As a general rule the cancellation policy is as follows:
    Evening and creative pre-booked events: A full refund or transfer to alternate event date will be issued if cancellation is made 14 or more days prior to the event. If the cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to the event The Lost Kitchen will only offer a full refund if the ticket(s) can be resold.

    For general table bookings:

    We fully appreciate things happen, plans have to be cancelled or bookings changed. Please cancel your booking via the email booking link.

    If you have problems finding your booking please can you phone us on 01884 24 24 27 or email us at eat@lostkitchen.co.uk  at your earliest convenience so we can let our kitchen and front of house team know.

  • Yes, the whole family are welcome!

    We ask that you supervise your children when visiting and ensure they are respectful of other diners, gardens and the village community. Please note the restaurant gardens are not enclosed, there is a stream running through the village and neighbouring fields, as well as big farming vehicles and cars driving past at pace.

    If your child is under three, we’re happy for you to bring their baby food and will warm it for you in hot water, we do not have a microwave. Otherwise, we ask only food purchased at the restaurant is eaten on the premises.

    We have high chairs available. If you think you will need one, please mention it when booking so it can be ready for you at your table.

    Baby changing facilities are available in one of our universal toilets.

    Please note we do not have a children’s menu, but do offer pizzas. All our menus are available online.

  • Our phones can get quite busy at certain times, so please be patient with us. There is no one to answer calls on Monday and Tuesday. Alternatively, you can reach us by completing a booking using our online contact form, or by emailing us at eat@lostkitchen.co.uk

  • We offer monetary vouchers in multiples of £10. These can be purchased at the restaurant or bought online in the ‘shop’ tab.

  • The Lost Kitchen is a perfect place to have a get-together for all kinds of special occasions.

  • You must let us know upon making your booking, and at the restaurant when ordering food that you have a serious allergy. The more advance notice we have, the better we can cater for you or your party’s needs.
    Nuts are used throughout our Kitchen, however, we do not use any peanuts in any of the dishes.

  • We have Vegan options on our seasonally changing menu labelled ‘VE’ we always have a vegan pudding, vegan ice creams and vegan cakes on the counter unless a group of vegan diners have pounced upon The Lost Kitchen and ordered all the puddings, we should have something for you.

    Our Rococo Hot Chocolate Flakes can be made with soy or oat milk.

    All our Ciders and Beers are suitable for Vegans, with many wines on the list.

    If you have looked at the menu, and you are not quite sure of your options then do email us to talk through your booking.

  • There are always many options from our light lunch and pizza menu, we have a parmesan ‘Italian style’ hard cheese if you do not wish to have real Parmesan on your pizza, please mention it to your waiter upon ordering. Our Mozzarella is suitable for vegetarians.

Getting to us

We have space for plenty of cars in our car park. However, we would love to encourage you to walk or cycle to The Lost Kitchen and enjoy the beautiful Devon countryside - with a coffee and cake pit-stop!

Tiverton

We are within easy walkable distance from many parts of Tiverton - for example, only a brisk 15-minute walk from Tesco Express in Moorhayes. The Leverlake Lane public footpath leads from the Gornhay exit on the North Devon Link Road (A361) directly to Chettiscombe.

National Trust

Why not combine a visit to Knightshayes Court with lunch at The Lost Kitchen? We are a short detour from the Impey Walk - leave the path next to the main road, turn left and walk down the road into the village. Please take care when crossing the public highway.

Cycling

We are on The National Cycle route managed by Sustrans. Park your bike in our dedicated cycling racks, and refuel in our beautiful surroundings! Below is an interactive map of the cycle route. Turn towards Chettiscombe just before (or after!) you cross the bridge over the North Devon Link Road.


Public Transport

Bus... the closest bus stop is Moorhayes Community Centre, which is a 15-minute walk from The Lost Kitchen. The local bus routes are 343, 349. Below is an interactive route finder to help get to enjoy a visit.

Train… we are a 10-minute taxi ride from Tiverton Parkway.
