A barn. A fire. The Devon hills.

George and Aurora Aykroyd opened The Lost Kitchen in a restored 19th-century Linhay in the hamlet of Chettiscombe, a former cider barn with floor-to-ceiling views and a wood-fired oven at its heart.

Head Chef Jason Meade leads the kitchen. Aurora holds the creative direction, from the plate to the photography. George keeps everything running. The produce comes from neighbours, many tables were made by hand, and the menu changes with the season.

Everything else, you'll have to come and see.
