Our food is inspired by the seasons, experiences and our surrounding fine artisan producers from the South West, using seasonal herbs and produce from our small kitchen garden.

Our Food

The Lost Kitchen is situated in a traditional Linhay and former cider barn.

We are led by provenance, sustainability and welcoming hospitality.

Our aim is to serve delicious wood-fired food and drinks in a casual, rustic and warm environment.

*Please note ingredients and dishes can change at short notice to availability and supply issues.

Do mention your allergies or dietary needs on your booking, and to waiting staff when ordering your food.

When there are nuts in a dish, this is mentioned in the dish description, we don’t use peanuts at all in the restaurant.

Service

We always recommend booking, to avoid any disappointment.

We are happy to seat walk-ins if we can, however we always recommend booking to avoid disappointment.
Occasions that walk-ins are not possible will be due to managing service levels with the customer, kitchen,
and staff capacity we have and allowing suitable available tables and respecting upcoming bookings.

More dietary information is listed in the section below.

Dietary Requirements

Coeliac

Our suitable dishes are labelled ‘GF’ on the menu. We are happy to replace bread with our amazing polenta chips or chickpea socca as all dishes are made to order. For pizzas, we just haven’t found a base good enough - if you have, get in touch! We always make a coeliac friendly cake as well as pudding. We are a good gluten-free place to eat in Devon. If you can’t see something on the menu that is suitable please contact us in advance of your visit.

Vegan

We have vegan options on our seasonal menu labelled ‘VE’. Vegan cake and pudding are available. Our Willies Cocoa Hot Chocolate can be made with plant milk. All our ciders and beers are suitable for vegans and many wines. We make all dishes fresh, so can often (but not always) remove an ingredient allowing you a suitable dish. We have a small menu though we try to have at least two VE dishes available.

Vegetarian

We love to offer great vegetarian restaurant food in Devon. There are always many options from our brunch, lunch and pizza menu. We have an ‘Italian style’ parmesan hard cheese if you do not wish to have real Parmesan on your pizza. Please mention it to your waiter upon ordering. Our Mozzarella is suitable for vegetarians.

Specific Allergies

It is imperative that you let us know of any allergies upon making your booking, and at the restaurant when ordering food if you have a serious allergy. The more advance notice we have, the better we can cater for you or your parties needs.

We do not use peanuts in our Kitchen or in our menus, though other nut varieties are used throughout our kitchen.
